Dr. Weifeng Feng received his BSEE in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and PhD in EECS in University of California, Irvine. He is recipient of Shanghai Thousand Talents award 2014. Weifeng has over fifteen years of industry experience in both US and China including companies like Broadcom and Skyworks.

Lei Fan, Ph.D.

Co-founder & CTO

Dr. Lei Fan is an Associate Professor at School of Cyber Security, Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU). He got his Ph.D. in Engineering from SJTU. His research interest includes cryptography, consensus protocols, and data mining. He has extensive experience in software development and project management.

Jonathan Katz, Ph.D.

Co-founder & Chief scientist

Dr. Jonathan Katz is a professor of computer science at the University of Maryland, where he is also Director of the Maryland Cybersecurity Center. He received his PhD from Columbia University in 2002. A world-renown expert in the fields of cryptography, privacy, and distributed computing, Katz is a co-author of the widely used textbook “Introduction to Modern Cryptography,” now in its second edition. He also serves as an editor for the Journal of Cryptology, and was program chair of the annual Crypto conference in 2016-2017.
Katz has interacted extensively with both government and industry on topics relating to blockchain, cryptography, and privacy-preserving technologies. He was a member of the DARPA Computer Science Study Group in 2009-2010 and has taught short courses on cryptography to several government agencies and corporations. He was an inaugural member of the steering committee for the IEEE Cybersecurity Initiative and currently serves on the State of Maryland Cybersecurity Council.

Thang N. Dinh, Ph.D.

Thang N. Dinh is an assistant professor in Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at University of Florida in 2013. His research interest include Blockchain Optimization, billion-scale network analytics, and Mass-marketing Science. He has published more than 60 papers, with 3 best paper awards and nominations, in top venues including SIGMETRICS, MOBICOM, MOBISYS, SIGMOD, and ICDM. He was a co-founder and CTO of EthosU, a start-up on a next-generation social network for youths.

Hong-Sheng Zhou, Ph.D.

Co-founder & Scientist

Dr. Hong-Sheng Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Ph.D. from University of Connecticut in 2010 and was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Maryland from 2010-2013. Hong-Sheng has worked on various aspects of cryptography, computer security and distributed computing, including secure multi-party computation, consensus, e-voting, verifiable computation, kleptography, leakage/tampering resilience, anonymity, and fairness.
